Shawn Brooks
SHAWN BROOKS a.k.a BLACK PHANTOM:
Shawn grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest of two sons. His brother, Michael, was always the protector, but when Michael left to join the military and eventually became Night Reaper later on, Shawn was left behind once tragedy struck after when the Heartless Killas (HK) gang attacked their family home. Their mother was killed in Shawn’s arms during the assault, marking him with grief, and leaving behind rage, guilt, and silence.
The Disappearance & Training:
After some time, Shawn vanished without a word.
He was found and taken in by Leion of The Black Claw (Awon Madow Cidida), a fierce warrior king and guardian of ancient spiritual combat disciplines.
Over the course of time, Shawn was trained in:
Shadow warfare
Combat meditation
Staff mastery
Raven spirit channeling
Through the sacred rite of “Umoja na Mnyama” (Unity with the Beast), Shawn bonded with Beak, a mystic raven familiar, becoming his guide, scout, and spirit protector.
Becoming Black Phantom:
Now reborn, he returned not to Cleveland, but to East Cleveland, a forgotten city overrun by crime, corruption, and fear.
He became its ghost. Its shadow.
